The MCO is thrilled to collaborate with Société Pro-Musica in a concert featuring two exciting young prizewinners of the Concours Musical International de Montréal: violinist Bomsori Kim and pianist Serhiy Salov. The program features each artist in virtuosic works: Alexander Brott’s The Cupid’s Quandary for violin and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Concerto for Piano k414, followed by a performance of the rarely heard Concerto for Violin, Piano and Strings by Felix Mendelssohn. The concert, conducted by the MCO’s Music Director Boris Brott, will also feature the astonishing MCO in a performance of Schubert’s Death and the Maiden in an arrangement for strings by Gustave Mahler.
